An electric vehicle that runs into too much water can shut down, locking the driver and any passengers inside in a dangerous situation.

Until they can haul 1.5 tons and go +500 miles without recharge, they're of no use to us... only time we need to drive is to carry firewood and supplies in, or critters to the Vet. My '68 GMC is paid for and easy to maintain.

Still, Nissan did build an all electric 1/2 ton with 250 mile range, so...maybe one day...
