What's your hot take on Cassandra Claire's 'the Mortal Instruments' book series

Seriously tho, the way that the downworlders are treated could be a good allegory for discrimination, but honestly the way she rights it makes it seem like she's just also prejudiced and trying to be edgy, that and the incest plotline made me gag

I liked it, it's a YA novel so i don't think it's that deep

I haven't but I googled them cause the name peaked my interest. I must say they look like something I would enjoy. Always glad to find a good book and especially a series. Thank you LemonStealingWhoresTookMyLemons

Np, the author's made a few spin off series as well, for when you inevitably get tired of the Jace/ Clary drama

If you don't know then it's clearly not relevant to you, so why bother making a comment

Never heard of it. Is it published in the US?

Chuck, why don't you ask google rather than waiting for 4 days for some internet troll to respond to your comment.
Yes, it's published in the US and was a hugely popular YA series for the earlier 20-teens

Didn't know, but having done a very quick check, it seems like something I'd really enjoy. I love all that kind of stuff, I was Big into Game of Thrones, not exactly the same, but still stories set in fantastical worlds. I heard a few years ago (?) of shadow hunters and wanted to check that out, but never did. One review of Ms. Clare's work mentions a coming-of-age identity crises, and I find that ...

Yeah I think they might have some graphic novels, that and they do have a TV show but it's kinda trashy and not true to the books. They also have audio books, my friend has a hard time reading fast so he just listens instead. Your local library might have them for free.

The series is not on my reading list, but it might be worthwhile.

While I have heard of this, can't say I have read it. Will have to put the books and film versions on my list . Are you familiar with Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas novels? Odd is a guy who can see dead people and tries to help them. His girlfriend is a gal named "Stormy" Llewellyn who believes the world we live in now is just training for a greater battle of good and evil. Koontz never gets into ...

Yeah Dean Kootz is pretty famous, haven't read too much of his work tho, I'll make sure to check him out :)

Hey we all mess that up at times. There are no 'Grammar Nazi's' here, and as long as you can make yourself understood, people tend to let it fly.

@ LemonStealingWhoresTookMyLemons -- If you do not make an occasional mistake, it is because you are not doing anything at all. If the misspelling is the worst mistake you ever make, you are WAY ahead of the pack.
