I've worked from home for 17 years and get a nice check at the end of each month. It makes a difference if you can last with a good job and retire (as an example 27 years). Getting paid now is like saying don't you dare show your face around here and here is your pay off.

I guess the joke went over your head. I use the phone to check in with friends and family. I worked a few additional years part-time after I retired but then had a T.I.A. in 2005 which pretty well ended doing anything further and got on Medicare disability until age 65. Make a list of all potential employers get their number and call their personnel office to see if they are hireing or how often they hire! Nothing beats visiting in person and pressing the flesh extolling the benefits of hiring you and stating your experience and abilities . Sitting on your can waiting never worked for me!
