I like humor that doesn't have a curse word in it. Red Skeleton was funny and he never said a curse word. He ended his show with "God Bless you all".

Dark is sort of an acquired taste, some can find it offensive or disturbing. It can be rather funny at times, though, Mel Brooks does a song about the Spanish Inquisition in the movie History of the World Part 1. Monty Python's Meaning of Life has some dark moments, such as when Death shows up at a dinner party and ends up telling the folks there "You're dead now, so shut up!"
