Legal marijuanna

Weed is legal in several states now for a while. For those in those states, how is the illegal sales of weed doing? Declining or just around a bit since they have to sell it cheaper than the legal stuff. My state does not allow recreational use so I have not heard much about it either way. Many people said they were afraid that there would be pot heads walking around and more car accidents. From what I have heard except for the fist opening that has not been a big issue.

There is always a few who will abuse anything. But it is rare and the police handle them quickly.

We need all of our prison space for violent criminals - like the "Peaceful protesters" who are currently destroying our cities.

In my state it is legal but not legal on the federal level. I don't know about the cost for illegal sales. There are growers getting arrested for illegal growing. There are a few users around smoking it where others can smell it.

It is vaulable for health issues, but the general public uses often and in can cause dangerous situations which can hurt other people (driving?) It smells bad. Business suffer from reduced productivity. Fewer inhibitions cause more bad judgement. (Also true for alcohol)

Alcohol is taxed very high you just do not see some of it. Federally alcohol is taxed from 30-100% depending on the type. Yes I said 100%. It is taxed at the manufacturing level not retail. So if they make it and then break the bottle the feds still get the tax money. But States and even some cities have 15-25% tax on it as well. Tobacco products are taxed the same way some are 70-80% between federal /state/cit...

Interesting bit: Many alcohol brands are now buying cannabis companies.
