If preventing covid infection is worth American freedom, should cigarettes and beer be illegal?

If the 3% chance of dying from COVID is worth the loss of American freedom, should cigarettes and alcohol be illegal too? Cigarettes count for 1 in 5 deaths and alcohol is pretty close to that. If we really care so much about making sure every single last person in this country lives no matter their god given health conditions, we should make cigarettes illegal for sure because not only do they kill people directly, but second hand smoke kills even those who don't CHOOSE to smoke.

That is a ridiculous argument. People choose to drink and smoke. That's on them. People do not choose COVID

Fair point. Fair opinion. Covid 19 is not a choice it's a virus...you can't choose to smoke it, drink it or walk away from it.
