How often do u drive somewhere in your city when pubic transit is available?

People often drive when they could easily use public transit, thereby contributing less to global warming, energy wastage, and pollution. Often people do not even think about taking transit for reasons based on falsehoods. They just look at the time they take from point A to point B. They do not figure in time spent serving the car, insuring it, registering it, and parking it. Furthermore most ignored is the time spent working to earn the extra money required to maintain the car versus using pubic transit. Average the above in to all your car trips and you may find that unless you are high income that the car does not save you time. Today, with use of the smartphone you can do things while riding pubic transit that you cannot do behind the wheel .and if you tried would be a danger to yourself and others and possibly illegal (using phone for non emergency use while driving).

Why? Do buses only run in one direction in your city?

Don't live in a city, but a rural area, so public transportation is not an option
