Horror Movies - Originals or Remakes?

By Sarah . Created on Sep 06, 2019
It's that time of year again...the smell of pumpkin spice and horror films on television. Who did it better, the original It, Halloween, Friday the 13th, or the recent remakes of the classics?

The older ones depended more on suspense than on blood and guts.

There's a pretty big gap between the '80's and Bela Lugosi. Also between the boiler plate slashers and the works of Stephen King, Clive Barker and Anne Rice. I love the oldies; I don't love the poor film quality and effects.

Lon Chaney, and Lon Chaney, JR were also terrific in the early 'horror' flicks. Those old films seems so 'campy' now, but they were great fun on Saturday afternoons.
