Hidden Mickeys

By Brian . Created on May 31, 2020
Several animated Disney films have what are known as Hidden Mickeys, images the animators sneak in that either look like Mickey's head with the mouse ears, or things and characters out of place for the scene. Here are a few, can you spot them, and which is your favorite?

So they keep slipping us a mickey, eh?

Haha, that would be one way of putting it, and since way back to 1938 when Snow White was released.

Okay, this one is about dead in the water, so time to wrap it up. The ones not mentioned: Lilo and Stich, check out the pile of melons to the left, look like mouse ears? Little Mermaid, hard to see, but down in the lower left are Goofy, with Donald beside him. Goofy is easiest to spot with his nose. In The Rescuers, that's a Mickey Mouse watch hanging on the wall, which wouldn't have existed in the time ...

Ok been looking for days the only one I see is Hercules

Think the classic Mickey head shape, a circle with two circle 'ears'. Little Mermaid is tough, look down in the lower left corner closely...see anyone out of place? I wish the Rescuers one was more in focus, but what's that hanging on the wall?

I've only ever seen Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, but looking at the bottom of the tankards/mugs, (Beauty and the Beast) they way they come together in the picture/toast looks like a "hidden Mickey" and also in the Hercules picture looks like another one behind him. A "sail" of some sort, or a cape?? :-)

Yep, the steins form a Mickey. There are other's in Beauty and the Beast, but this is a quick, clever one. And yeah, Herc has a sort of sail device with the mouse ear logo.
