I'm in my thirties, when I was 8 our neighbors put a burning cross in our front yard, because my mom is an obviously white woman my dad is southern Italian , so he is very dark.

I can't remember witnessing an overtly racist situation directly. What concerns me is that I may not have recognized it when it occurred.

I am told regularly by a female at work that I don't matter because I'm a middle age white male and I don't have an opinion that matters.

By saying stuff like " black lives mater" or " they just are racist and that's why I was treated unfairly " you are automatically being biased and are segregating yourself by putting yourself in a category or race. When people are debating the whole racism thing they always refer to other individuals of their race. If you are a man talk to me like a man would same goes for women just leave ...

No, I think discrimination is a word used too often by people who don't know what it means and are just looking for money.
