I drive very little so a purely electric vehicle could work for me, but I'm concerned about what happens when the batteries eventually need to be replaced.
A serial hybrid like the Chevy Volt would minimize the number of batteries while allowing for long range drives.
But the best solution is to minimize the amount you drive.
No. I have never even considered it.

You'd need a recharging station at home. To get it assembled and installed will set you back several thousand. It's not a job for anyone but a qualified electrician to complete. Getting an EV is not an option. There are no public charging stations in this area at all.

Nope not even close! If we lived next to a golf course maybe!! Too expensive, not enough power, batteries not long lasting, low driving range, too few recharging stations, time to recharge not good, cost of gas and other fuel better economically.
No. I have never even considered it.

No. According to reports about electric cars, battery life is not good at this time. Batteries for electric cars cost about half of what you pay for the actual car, too expensive to replace. Some of the electricity to power up the batteries actually come from coal power plants. I repair my own vehicles and keep them operating so it cheaper to own.
