Golden Voice OR Silver Tongue??

By LJP . Created on Oct 16, 2020
Would you rather have a Golden Voice or a Silver Tongue? These terms are subjective & figurative. Golden Voice refers to a person with a beautiful voice like a singer and/or a radio voice. Silver Tongue refers to someone who is very skilled in a conversation.

I want to share something about a man name ‘Ted Williams’ aka “the man with the Golden Voice." Maybe some of you have heard of him or maybe not. Short version: Williams was discovered when a video of his incredible voice went viral in late 2010, while he was still living on...

While a nice singing voice is pleasing to listen to, a silver tongue will get one farther in life. Especially if they are in a Sales or Marketing career.

Silver tongue tends to come with the connotation of talking people into stuff they were not originally intending, like a salesman or the devil. So I would rather just have a great voice and please people with a song.

@ Damien -- In that sense, I would not want a silver tongue. In the sense listed above, I would want a silver tongue. It is nice to be able to communicate effectively with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

@Damien - Thank You for your input. I see your point, Silver Tongue can be a “Smooth Talker” sometimes it tends to have a negative connotation :)

@Toad - No right or wrong answer. I appreciate your comment as well :) Thank You :)

Although my father had a great baritone voice and was a soloist in church I would lean toward a silver tongue conversationalist! You speak much more than sing!

I know I can't carry a tune in a bucket, so I guess it would be a Silver Tongue. :-)

LOL!! G@@d grief NO! NO singing, just really good cooking. I was once in a church choir as a kid, and it was "politely" suggested that perhaps my "talents" could be used to serve the Lord in a different way. :-)
