I didn't wait (musta been the sign of the times; I was born in 1950) BUT if it were up to me, I would STILL be waiting!! No, but I still would have my 3 sons. I'd figure out a way to make that work!

Personally I don't wait, I believe in a full test drive before you make a purchase. However, I would never disrespect anyone who does wait and wants to wait. Sex isn't everything, it's definitely not the center of any relationship. There's no shame either way, and if you really do love whoever it is you should respect how they feel and vice versa.

Ask yourself this, "How did mankind/humans continue to reproduce BEFORE there was a Bible AND an edict that says "No sex before marriage". Humans pretty much went about ensuring the species survived in spite of there being no Christian "marriage" for tens of thousands of years, and pretty good overall. JMHO

IF that were the case, many of us would be going around without our limbs, and blind. The Bible is a contradiction in it's guidance, and even the most pious and studious among theologians can't agree on what lessons should be followed. One church/religion says, do things one way, while another religion says do things completely opposite. UNLESS and until, someone invents a time machine, and goes back more ...

Religious traditions aside, one thing no longer has anything to do with the other. There's a lot more to marriage than sex; and there's a lot more to sex than societal permission.
