Sometimes I'll buy extra turkeys at good prices and give them to who can't afford it

Wife and I both love turkey. We will buy an extra 1 or 2 on sale. But we will have the butcher cut it in half. This way it is just enough for us to have a nice meal and a few turkey sandwiches afterwards. No wasted or thrown out meat.

After the holidays, I have no need for a turkey. Among other reasons, It keeps that meal a little more special.

I'm not typically the one hosting Thanksgiving or Christmas meals, so don't buy whole turkeys to begin with. And if I did, they'd probably spoil before I ate it all since I don't have extra room in my freezer.
