if we taught our children critical thinking skills they would have an easier time seeing through subpar journalism but this apparently is something we are not being taught anymore. Vetting and verifying facts and sources needs to be it's own class, not just something we encourage in relation to the English section of standardized tests with multiple choice answers.

I think there is good or bad information and it is also confusing that's why you have to check them and limit them so that they do not get lost with the internet.

In my opinion, they can learn both bad and good. That's why we as parents should limited them on what they see. They look up to us as role models. It's up to us to help them thru life.

good/bad imply a morality. True/false/or irrelevant is a better division. No doubt they're getting more information than ever before, but they seem less capable of retaining it or relating it contextually.
