Jealousy: Possessing/having something and being afraid someone will take it from you. Envy: Desiring something (i.e. a certain job title, a romantic partner) that belongs so someone else. Do you think the feelings defined above are healthy to feel?

A small amount of jealousy keeps you on your toes but too much will set you on your heels and the next place is down and out on the floor. Envy is a whole different thing. Even the Bible warns about envy; i.e.. "do not covet". So watch out if you feel envy but a touch of jealousy is healthy.
