Yeah I know e-mail is faster but I am a paper guy who likes to go over stuff from the past so I lean toward letters . E-mail gets erased too easily!

I like to receive mail other than solicitations for money. A nicely written note is nice to receive.

Just e-mail is quicker. A handwritten note is a wonderful idea for a birthday.

i think there is something so personal, exciting, and sweetly old fashioned about receiving things by mail.(from people you are fond of and close to otherwise it is just creepy/aggravating)
Business quickness general makes email a necessity.
