Can You Lie without saying a Word?

The non-verbal elements are distinctly important for communicating feelings. When you don’t use any word, there is no tone but your body language communicates 100%. What do you think? Is it possible to lie without saying a word?

Yes! of course. Scenario: You are looking forward to a date you have been thinking about all week. With 5 hours to go, you walk right into a friend that asks you if you could help him for 1/2 hr to move a refrigerator away from the wall, so he could be ready for the delivery of a new one the next day. Without a word, you turn around and go home to prepare for you...

...the truth, the WHOLE truth, and NOTHING BUT the truth! It took me years to understand why they needed to add all that extra stuff, why wasn't just saying the truth enough? Now I know how people can lie by telling the truth (but not the whole truth), or even just by not saying a word.

Yes you can lie but non-verbal body language could express otherwise. No one expects the Spanish Inquisition.
