Stephen King is the most prolific, he has a rather dark and twisted mind. I think it got even more so, AFTER he was nearly killed when he was hit by a van, while out taking a walk. I bet he never imagined that happening. Strange, but true, seems like it would have been a good story, before the fact, but that would have been too ironic perhaps.

@G'sM, yeah, I think the guy that hit him, passed away a few years ago. From what little bit I recall, I think he (driver) lived in a beat up mobile home, or perhaps in the van. Of course Stephen King in theory but I voted for John Saul because his stories are relatable and could easily happen. The king has great grandiose ideas. But sauls stories are classic lost soul meets psychopath.
