Frogs have multi use!

Well I suppose they do. Some folks eat frog legs as mentioned below. In high school biology, we dissected them. They eat common pesky insects. In the fantasy realm, they might be princes under a spell...

They all have their place. Nature gets rid of the ones it doesn't need.

The poll was meant as a parody of the popular cats or dogs one. Tend to think you are right though, they all have their place in the ecosystem. There are some critters no longer with us such as the platypus or dodo.
Hogs

hogs and frog legs are edible, ✔😷🥓🐸🐷

Would that still be considered a surf and turf type meal since frogs are aquatic? I should try frog legs some day. Hog, I would imagine would be similar to other pork depending on how it is smoked or cured.

wild hog Brian, is very good, i won't take a boar unless it's less than 100lb, usually after that they start to get gamey tasting,, but sows are no problem, the meat is less fat than our farm raised pork you y'all buy, but really good tasting and tender on the grill, if you ever get a chance, give it a try, if you like pork at all, you would like this, and if you don't just spit it out and say, well, at least i trie...

Bats, Bogs, Rats, and Frogs - sounds like a spell I'm casting, but I'll take those over the Gnats and Hogs, thanks.

Haha! Eye of newt, toe of frog...double, double, toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble and all that. Kind of surprised gnats and bogs got any takers.

Brian, puts me in the mood for Halloween, and fyi, bogs are very important places, just ask a frog, and any good land steward. And, the bog near us gets transformed in winter into a forest skating rink among the trees. Beautiful.

Hogs are by far the best tasting thing on this list. I have eaten a few of the others….sometimes by accident and others by choice.

Okay, so guess wild hog is edible and tastes good, wasn't totally sure about that. I know some folks like frog legs, something I have yet to try. As mentioned below, probably have breathed in some gnats on accident at times.
Rats

All of these are pretty creepy. The rat in the picture at least has a cute face. And frogs aren't too bad I guess.

Yeah, is rather cute compared to the typical alley rat. There again, have you ever seen the movie Willard? (If not, it's about a a guy who raises and trains a bunch of rats to seek revenge. It's been filmed a couple times most recently with Crispin Glover, and there is a sequel called Ben).

I did see both of those movies, but only the originals back in the early '70's, so was a long time ago, and only vaguely remember them. Though I do remember very well hearing on the radio a lot at that time, Michael Jackson's version of the theme song from "Ben"...Yeah, I definitely would not want to meet an ally rat in a dark alley, or even on a bright street ...
