Heck, I watched the movie Patriots Day the other night about the terrorist bombing at the Boston Marathon in 2013. Cops sure did a pretty good job handling that and catching the suspects. There's the 2016 Orlando gay nightclub shooting , 9/11 and many other cases I can think of where police put their lives on the line. JC Superstar, no one is going to shoot or gas you for standing with a sign. The First Amendment protects your right to assemble and express your views through protest. However, police and other government officials are allowed to place certain restrictions on that as far as where, when and how.
